Activity & steps

How do I get automatic step tracking?

Open Settings inside the app and connect Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android). Once granted, your daily steps, distance, and active calories fill in the Move ring automatically.

My Move ring says steps are unavailable — why?

Either your device doesn't have a health data store, or permission hasn't been granted yet — reconnect from Settings. On some Android phones, Health Connect only has data once another app (like Google Fit or your phone maker's health app) is actively writing steps to it — Health Connect itself doesn't count steps on its own.

How does tracking a walk or run work without GPS?

Distance is estimated from your live step count and your height (set it in Settings for a more accurate stride estimate) — by design, Fitness Champ never uses your location.

Workouts

Can I delete a workout plan?

Yes — open the plan and delete it from there.

Can I delete a single logged workout or tracked activity from my history?

Not from within the app at the moment. Uninstalling the app clears everything, since all history is stored locally on your device — see the Privacy Policy.

An exercise's demo image won't load

Exercise images load from the internet the first time you view them, so check your connection. Once loaded, they're cached for faster access.

Data & account

Do I need an account to use Fitness Champ?

No — there's no account system and no sign-in of any kind.

Is my data backed up anywhere?

No. Everything is stored only on your device, with no cloud sync. That also means uninstalling the app permanently deletes it.

Can I change units between kg/lb and km/mi?

Yes — set your preferred units once in Settings.
